eyes4earth publicly asks "The Question".

By eyes4earth @eyes4earth · On April 22, 2007

Arnhem (NL): The eyes4earth initiative stopped by Arnhem on 22nd April and asked interested passers-by The Question : “What did nature do for you today?” (in Dutch: “Wat heeft de Natuur vandaag voor jou gedaan?“).

The event was launched to coincide with Earth Day activities in Arnhem. The aim  was gain insight into the broader public’s understanding of the concept of ‘ecosystem services’. And to help foster a greater awareness where possible.

The eyes4earth crew placed the survey question written on paper cut-out leaves and asked the public to place their answers on a large map of the Netherlands according to where the location of their answers most related to. The cameras and camcorders also came along and provided some great footage in asking people “The Question”. One memorable and enlightening response can be viewed here.

Later in the day, the team went on to Wageningen and held some relaxed interviews with students from Wageningen University top gain their perspectives on nature and its benefits.. Thanks to all who willingly shared their perspectives…
