This coming month is a decade since I completed my PhD research which inspired eyes4earth. My actual endeavour with this topic began over 15 years ago, so it’s definitely a time of reflection as to where this work has taken me, where it has made some impact and where to from here. Some of those questions remain open…
For now, this milestone is being ‘celebrated’ with a few events.
For a start, I’m finally going to print out my 700 page dissertation (embarrassing, I know). Also, there’s a couple of podcasts interviews I was invited to do – for Nathalie Nahai (formerly, The Hive) and Veronica Stanwell (Rooted Healing) – which, whilst recorded some months ago, seems like they will be released in the coming weeks. Quite timely.
And then this week, I’ve decided to step-up as the guinea pig for the new Kwendalo Conversations this Thursday 14 March and sit down with friend James van Minnen to reflect on this research and what has transpired in the time since then, in terms of my own and others work in this ever-evolving space.
