What did nature do for you tonight?

By eyes4earth @eyes4earth · On June 21, 2007

Wageningen (NL): eyes4earth put a spin on “The Question” and trialled the activity … at night. The small casual gathering of interested people coincided with the evening of the European summer solstice .

The participating group took a quiet walk in the nearby woods to basically see if such an experience in nature ‘did’ anything for them. The group was also joined by Pradeep – an Indian PhD student – who offered to share some knowledgeable insights into Hindu culture & yoga tradition with respect to nature and the cosmos.

“A really beautiful evening. I got more from it than I expected. Not only did I get some time to reconnect to nature but we reconnected with each other too. I’ve missed that” said walk participant Silvia Weel.

The group was also fortunate enough to get a clear break in the weather. Another participant laughed: “You know, it had been cloudy all day – we came for a walk and ‘perfect’, the sky cleared up with plenty of stars. And just as we finished the walk it began pouring with rain. That’s what nature did for me.”
